What is Shower Climbing?
Shower climbing (sawanobori) is an outdoor activity where you make your way up a mountain stream, walking through the spray of clear running water.
Unlike an ordinary hiking trail, you follow the water itself, so the untouched beauty of the gorge is right in front of you.
An experienced guide is with you the whole way, and we only run routes we have checked for safety beforehand.
Helmets, life jackets and all other safety gear are provided, so no specialist climbing knowledge or technique is needed. First-timers can join with confidence and enjoy the fresh air and open scale of the natural landscape to the full.
ABOUT Pricing
The PATHFINDER ACTIVITY shower climbing fee includes rental of all equipment and insurance.
You're fully covered if anything happens, so you can turn up with nothing but yourself.
The rate is fixed at the booking deadline (2 days before the tour) based on the total number of guests for that day. If the total reaches 4 or more by the deadline, the rate is ¥10,000 per person.

* The meeting point depends on your confirmed course. Hyuga Course: PATHFINDER ACTIVITY (Mimitsu, Hyuga City). Osuzu Course: Osuzu Campground entrance (Tsuno Town). Details will be sent after your booking is confirmed.
Get changed
We hand you a wetsuit, shoes and socks in your size — please get changed.
Please use the restroom before changing.
Move to the starting point
We drive to the starting point.
Final preparation
Put on your life jacket and helmet, and you're ready to go.
Departure
After the guide's safety briefing, the climb begins. Enjoy the great outdoors to the fullest.
Tour ends
We drive back to base, where you can change. We'll show you how to download your tour photos, and the tour concludes.
Important Notes
* The tour may be canceled due to weather. Unless severe weather is clearly forecast, the decision is made on the morning of the tour and we will call you. If the tour is canceled, you will not be charged at all (any card authorization is released; if payment has already been taken, it is refunded in full).
* The rate is fixed at the booking deadline (2 days before the tour) based on the total number of guests for that day: ¥10,000 per person for groups of 4 or more, ¥13,000 per person for 2–3 guests.
* Bookings are for a minimum of 2 guests. Solo participation is not accepted.
* Online booking closes 2 days before the tour. For next-day or same-day requests, please call us at 090-4773-2435.
* All participants are covered by accident insurance (insurer: Sompo Japan Insurance Inc. / death: ¥3,000,000, hospitalization: ¥3,000 per day, outpatient: ¥2,000 per day). Personal belongings, illness, etc. are not covered.
* No payment is taken when you book. The actual charge is made after the booking deadline, based on the confirmed number of guests. If the deadline is within about one month of booking, we place a card authorization (hold) of ¥13,000 per person and capture only the final amount after the deadline; the difference is released. If the deadline is more than about one month away, or if you pay with American Express, we only register your card at the time of booking and charge the final amount after the deadline.
* Changing the number of guests before the booking deadline is free of charge.
* For safety reasons, guests who have consumed alcohol cannot participate.
* This tour requires physical stamina, so please sleep well beforehand and arrive in good condition.
* Cancellation fees apply for cancellations from 5 days before the tour date.
5–3 days before: 30% of the fee
2 days before: 40% of the fee
Day before: 80% of the fee
Day of: 100% of the fee
* No cancellation fee or charge applies if the tour is canceled due to weather.
